Sven Lohse

Research Manager, Healthcare

Sven Lohse is a Research Manager for IDC Health Insights. In this position, he provides research-based advisory and consulting services and market analysis within the commercial healthcare industry. Mr. Lohse's research expertise includes strategy, operations, and information technology related market analysis.

Mr. Lohse joined IDC Health Insights from Kennedy Information, where he held the position of Associate Director. At Kennedy he published research on healthcare industry trends, market sizing, and the competitive positioning of market-leading management consulting firms, particularly those with global operations. Prior to working at Kennedy, he worked in Europe and the United States as a management consultant in the insurance, market research and communications industries. At Diamond Management and Technology Consultants (acquired by PwC in 2010), Mr. Lohse managed market research projects and contributed to two successfully funded business plans. For RosBusinessConsulting in Moscow, Russia, he wrote the business plan for RBK TV, which now broadcasts business and financial news to 40 million viewers. With the internal strategy unit at The Hanover Insurance Group, Mr. Lohse managed strategic marketing initiatives that identified and addressed needs in distribution channels. He also managed or contributed to key due diligence and post-merger integration initiatives for the successful acquisition of several specialty insurers.

From the University of Chicago Mr. Lohse received two degrees: a BA in Fundamentals: Issues & Texts; and an MBA with a concentration in Strategy. From the Goethe Institute in Germany he received Das Kleine Deutsche Sprachdiplom, which certified his fluency in German. He became conversant in Czech while covering business issues for The Prague Post, and while teaching English at Palacky University, an academic medical center in Olomouc, Czech Republic.
